Background[edit | edit source]
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Finn's no longer Marth.
Aesthetics[edit | edit source]
- Finn is based off of his appearance from Season 8 onwards, including his mechanical arm.
- Finn uses the Finn Sword, a sentient sword that he obtained after an alternate version of Finn sacrificed himself.
Attributes[edit | edit source]
- Finn has a fast initial dash, however his dash and walk speed are all average.
- His air speed and air acceleration are slightly below average. Furthermore, his fall speed is slightly above average
- He is a middleweight.
- Most of Finn's sword attacks have a sweetspot on the first half of his sword and a sourspot on the second half of the sword. For most of his moves, the sweetspot is used for killing and the sourspot is used for combos.
- Electric moves deal less damage and knockback on Finn.
Moveset[edit | edit source]
Name | Damage | Description | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
Neutral attack | 1% | Two slashes from his sword before using his mechanical arm as a weed wacker. | ||
1.5% | ||||
0.5% (loop), 2% (finish) | ||||
Forward tilt | 9% | A downward slash from his sword. Launches the opponent into the air, allowing for aerial combos. | ||
Up tilt | 10% (feet), 5% (legs) | A flip kick upward. The sweetspot can KO middleweights starting at 160%, while the sourspot has set knockback and can lead into a grab or forward tilt. | ||
Down tilt | 2.5% (all four hits) | Slides his mechanical arm forward and activates the weed wacker. Best used to keep the opponent away, although it doesn't have much other use. | ||
Dash attack | 5.5% (both hits) | Jumps forward and kicks twice. Safe on shield and creates shield pressure. It can KO middleweights starting at 150%. | ||
Forward smash | 15% (uncharged), 25% (charged) | Summons Jake, who changes into a hammer and slams forward. Can KO starting at 70%, but is rather slow and has high end lag. | ||
Up smash | 3.5% (first four hits), 6% (final hit, uncharged), 15% (final hit, charged) | Changes his mechanical arm into a large weed wacker and thrusts it upward. Although it cannot kill at realistic percents, it's the most damaging smash attack in the entire game if fully charged, and is best used as an anti-air or juggling tool thanks to its low endlag. | ||
Down smash | 10% (first hit, uncharged), 20% (first hit, charged), 5% (second hit) | Swipes his feet across the floor. The final hit has set knockback and can lead into a back air. Otherwise, it's best used to catch the two frame. The first hit can KO middleweights starting at 115%. | ||
Neutral aerial | 10% (first hit), 7% (second hit) | Flips around with his sword. The first hit can KO middleweights starting at 125%, and the first hilt hit can combo into itself or a forward air. The back hit is a semi-spike at the tip. | ||
Forward aerial | 15% | A kick from both feet in front of him. It has great combo percent from low to mid percents and can KO middleweights starting at 145%. | ||
Back aerial | 12% | A sword thrust behind him. It can combo into a grab at low percents and is capable of KOing middleweights at around 100%, making it Finn's strongest aerial. | ||
Up aerial | 8% | Holds his sword horizontally and presses it upwards. It has a lasting hitbox and is useful for juggling up to mid-percents. However, it cannot start KOing until about 150%. | ||
Down aerial | 9% | Flips vertically and slashes down. There is a sweetspot at the tip of the sword that isa strong meteor smash, while the sourspot has set knockback and can combo into another aerial. | ||
Grab | — | Extends his mechanical arm and grabs the opponent. | ||
Pummel | 0.5% | Hits the opponent with the hilt of his sword. Moderately fast pummel. | ||
Forward throw | 5% (throw), 7% (sword slice) | Throws the opponent upwards and slices the sword forward. Doesn't have much use other than sending opponents offstage for an edgeguard. | ||
Back throw | 7% | Throws the opponent behind him. It's set knockback doesn't allow it to KO, and is best used in doubles for a KO. | ||
Up throw | 10% | Throws the opponent upwards. It can combo into a sourspot up tilt at low percents, and sweetspot up tilts at mid percents, however it cannot KO at realistic percents. | ||
Down throw | 5% (throw), 7% (punch) | Slams the opponent onto the floor, then punches down hard, sending the opponent up. It can lead into a plethora of aerials up to high percents. | ||
Floor attack (front) | 6% | Kicks around him as he gets up. | ||
Floor attack (back) | 6% | Kicks around him as he gets up. | ||
Floor attack (trip) | 6% | Kicks around him as he gets up. | ||
Edge attack (fast) | 6% | Flips onto the stage, kicking the opponent. | ||
Edge attack (slow) | 6% | Flips onto the stage, kicking the opponent. | ||
Neutral special | Elementals | 2% (sword), 4% (Candy Blast hits 1-5), 15% (Heat Wave), 10% (Ice Ball) | Depending on the charge, Finn would shoot out a certain projectile based on an element. A brief tap would initiate the candy elemental Candy Blast, a slightly longer tap would initiate the fire elemental Heat Wave, a longer press wound initiate the slime elemental Slime Shot, and, when fully charged, it will initiate the ice elemental Ice Ball. | |
