Mewberty Blast
Mewberty Blast is Star's final smash.
Overview[edit | edit source]
When used, Star transforms into her Mewberty form from Season 3, flies to the edge of the stage, and unleashes a ball of light towards the stage. The ball can be tilted up or down, making the shot move in a diagonal direction. The move deals a total of 45% and can KO middleweights starting at 50%. Star has super armor during this move.
This move is relatively hard to avoid, as it can cover the entire stage. However, it's still possible to avoid the blast by reading which direction it will move. Likewise, characters can hide behind Star on walk-off stages, missing the blast entirely.
Origin[edit | edit source]
Star first gained her current Mewberty form during Season's 3 "Battle for Mewni" saga after saving Mewni's magic. This form substantially powered her up and was used to ultimately disintegrate Toffee.
The blast itself is a reference to a move Star used in the Season 3 finale "Conquer," in which Star uses it at the climax of her fight with Meteora. While the move was able to incapacitate Meteora, leaving her vulnerable, it also used up all of Star's energy, making her unable to finish the blow until Eclipsa stepped in.
