Jellyfish Jam
Jellyfish Jam is SpongeBob's final smash.
Overview[edit | edit source]
SpongeBob pulls out a music box and a disco ball while summoning a horde of jellyfish to dance with him. The jellyfish are spread across the entire stage, and deal 5% damage whenever someone touches one. However, as a result of being spread out, the jellyfish hits are almost guaranteed to chain into another up to kill percent. The attack lasts for about 10 seconds and plays the iconic theme along with it, after which the jellyfish fly off the stage. The jellyfish have a hitbox throughout the whole attack until they fly off-screen.
This attack is very hard to avoid, as one hit from one jellyfish may end up creating a lot of percentage for the opponent. However, standing still between jellyfish completely negates the attack.
Origin[edit | edit source]
This attack is a reference to the Season 1 episode "Jellyfish Jam," where SpongeBob parties with a jellyfish throughout the night. The lone jellyfish is later joined by a horde of jellyfish who want to continue dancing despite SpongeBob's objections. When Squidward tries to play his own music, the jellyfish proceed to attack him.
The song "Jellyfish Jam" is played during all the dancing scenes.
